Cryptocurrencies – truths and myths

The ninth Economic Forum has covered the subject of cryptocurrencies which in 2017 was in its inception, but each year gains more importance and defies to change the traditional meaning of the financial systems and money in whole, followed by the complete digital infrastructure which supports the transactions in digital currencies (called Distributed Ledger Technology). The forum’s speakers were the governor of  the Macedonian National Bank, which gave overview of the regulatory framework of this product, as well as speakers from the private sector – representative of a hedge fund, representative from the financial instruments trading sector and an IT representative. The accrued funds from this charity forum were aimed for improvement of the persons with intellectual disabilities from the Daycare Center “Poraka”.
